Cheranjana Thuyacontha Recognized With Frostburg State University Honors

Cheranjana Thuyacontha, of Silver Spring, Md., was among the graduate and undergraduate students recognized at Frostburg State University's Honors Convocation in May.

Thuyacontha, who received departmental honors in music, has shown what it takes to persevere and become an exceptional musician. Her dedication to her growth as a musician and a scholar has been exemplary, and her work ethic has been a great model for her peers. Thuyacontha participated in countless Opera Workshop performances during the past few years. She also represented herself and FSU well by winning state and regional voice competitions sponsored by the National Association of Teachers of Singing and advancing to the national competition, where she placed third. Thuyacontha heads to graduate school next year in vocal performance and pedagogy.
