Connor Riahin Recognized With Frostburg State University Honors

Connor Riahin, of Annapolis, Md., was among the graduate and undergraduate students recognized at Frostburg State University's Honors Convocation in May.

Riahin, who received honors in general education and departmental honors in chemistry, graduated in December 2016. While at FSU, he conducted research to determine the selectivity of a fluorescent sensor for mercury and copper. Riahin presented his research at the American Chemical Society National Meeting in San Diego as well as locally at the CLAS Undergraduate Research Symposium. He served as a chemistry tutor and was a member of the Student Members of the American Chemical Society. Riahin is currently applying for graduate studies in chemistry.
