Erik Braun Recognized With Frostburg State University Honors

Erik Braun, of White Plains, Md., was among the graduate and undergraduate students recognized at Frostburg State University's Honors Convocation in May.

Braun, who received honors in general education and departmental honors in theatre and dance, achieved excellence in the classroom and as a theatre artist. Focused in design and technology, he led many creative projects for season productions. He designed lighting for "To Kill a Mockingbird," "Barefoot in the Park," "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer," "Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson" and "She Kills Monsters," properties for "Coney Island Christmas" and scenery for "The Mousetrap." Additionally, Braun worked as a master electrician and master carpenter for the department and as a member of the Lane University Center tech crew, as well as spent two summers at Porthouse Theatre in Ohio. He also served as an officer for Community of Artists Serving Theatre.
