FSU Student Brady Moon Develops Environmental Leadership Skills at Summer Grassroots Training Program

2016 Aug 5

Frostburg State University student Brady Moon, of Cumberland, attended the Sierra Student Coalition's 2016 Summer Grassroots Training Program, which is more commonly known as Sprog.

During East Sprog, at Camp Darden in Courtland, Va., Moon spent a week learning a comprehensive set of skills and knowledge critical for success as a grassroots environmental leader. The program empowers attendees to organize concerned citizens and effectively communicate messages through traditional and social media outlets.

FSU's Sprog attendees were supported through the FSU Student Sustainability Fee, which funds student sustainability initiatives, improvements, outreach efforts and training programs.
