Jill Helmstetter Receives Scholarship to Frostburg State University

Jill Helmstetter, of Little Orleans, Md., received the Jimmy Hollis Education Scholarship, Hedrick Teacher Excellence Award for Math/Science and Upper Division Education Scholarship from Frostburg State University. Helmstetter is the daughter of Carol and Dale Helmstetter and attended Hancock Middle-Senior High School.

Situated in the mountains of Allegany County, Frostburg State University is one of the 12 institutions of the University System of Maryland. FSU is a comprehensive, residential regional university and serves as an educational and cultural center for Western Maryland.
