Maci Quintanilla of Severn Presented at 2016 Frostburg Undergraduate Research Symposium

In May, Maci Quintanilla of Severn presented the following works at Frostburg State University's 2016 College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Undergraduate Research Symposium:

"Molecular Characterization of the Microbiome-Using 16S PCR to Explore the Microbial Community," which was presented with Alyssa Savage, Alexa Gallagher, Olivia Hager, Kylan O'Baker and Casey Hymiller, under the tutelage of Dr. Catherine Vrentas; "Development of a Scale to Measure Skepticism," which was presented with Katrina Gagliano and Crystal Rainey, under Dr. Alan Bensley and Dr. Christopher Masciocchi; and "How Is Skepticism Related to Critical Thinking Dispositions, Misconceptions, and Pseudoscientific Beliefs?" which was presented with Katrina Gagliano, Tyler Black and Crystal Rainey, under Dr. Christopher Masciocchi and Dr. Alan Bensley.

The fifth annual Undergraduate Research Symposium showcased outstanding student research and artistry from 16 academic departments for Frostburg faculty, staff and alumni.
