Michael Bartholomew Recognized With Frostburg State University Honors

Michael Bartholomew, of Cumberland, Md., was among the graduate and undergraduate students recognized at Frostburg State University's Honors Convocation in May.

Bartholomew, who received honors in general education and departmental honors in philosophy and law and society, graduated with majors in three academic programs: philosophy, law and society, and political science. In addition to his academic success, he served as president of Pi Lambda Phi. He twice received the Certificate of the Society of Socrates and Hypatia, a departmental award recognizing academic achievement in philosophy. Bartholomew presented his paper, "Communicative Civil Disobedience," at West Virginia University's National Undergraduate Philosophy Conference this spring. As a member of the President's Leadership Circle, he travelled to Uganda on a service-learning trip last January. He will attend law school in the fall.
