Mitcha Shay Recognized With Frostburg State University Honors

Mitcha Shay of Hagerstown, Md., received departmental honors in psychology; she attended FSU through the University System of Maryland at Hagerstown. She earned her associate degree from Hagerstown Community College in 2013. While studying for her bachelor’s, Shay was a member of several notable organizations, including Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology. In addition, she helped revitalize the Psychology Club of which she was the secretary. Shay was also a recipient of the Associate Degree Scholars Award. At present, she is completing an internship as a chaplain at the Western Maryland Hospital Center and plans to pursue a master’s in counseling psychology at Liberty University. Shay attended Heritage Academy in Hagerstown.
