Niki Folk of Frostburg Presents Work at Frostburg State English Colloquium

2016 Jul 26

In April, the Frostburg State University English Colloquium showcased 17 outstanding written works by students of any major over the previous year. The event provided an opportunity for students to present their work in a professional academic setting. Twelve Frostburg students participated, presenting their works and fielding audience questions.

Niki Folk of Frostburg, MD, a English major, presented “The Unholy Hero: Satan’s Role in Book I of Paradise Lost” and “Bathing in Power: A Psychoanalytical Analysis of ‘The Wife of Bath’s Tale.’”

Student works were first nominated for submission by faculty members. Works were selected based on a blind reading by the Colloquium Committee. Presented works included essays on a variety of topics, a graphic memoir and a video game.
