Sierra Green Recognized With Frostburg State University Honors

Sierra Green, of Cumberland, Md., was among the graduate and undergraduate students recognized at Frostburg State University's Honors Convocation in May.

Green, who received departmental honors in music, was a music education major at FSU. She was very active in the Music Department, performing in multiple ensembles and serving as the band assistant, the woodwind section leader for the Marching Bobcats and the president of FSU's collegiate chapter of the National Association for Music Education. Green was a peer mentor for the freshman learning community for the past two years. She also held several different offices for Sigma Alpha Iota, including president. This semester, she taught in an internship in the Meyersdale, Pa., public schools. Green eagerly anticipates getting her first teaching job after graduation.
