Two Local Students Recognized With Frostburg State University Honors

Two Anne Arundel County students were among the graduate and undergraduate students recognized at Frostburg State University's Honors Convocation in May.

Sarah Pesi of Arnold, Md., who received departmental honors in wildlife and fisheries, graduated with minors in animal behavior, biology and forestry. She was active in numerous experiential learning projects while at FSU, including working with a graduate student to assess carnivore food habits at Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge in Morris County, N.J. Pesi was an active member of the FSU student chapter of The Wildlife Society, serving as its vice president in 2014. She was also a recipient of the Outstanding Senior Service Award. Pesi is dedicated to becoming a wildlife conservation professional; she plans to earn her master’s in wildlife biology and become involved in mammal research. A graduate of Broadneck High School in Annapolis, she is the daughter of Mark and JoAnn Pesi of Arnold.
