Tyler Sweitzer Recognized With Frostburg State University Honors

Tyler Sweitzer, of McHenry, Md., was among the graduate and undergraduate students recognized at Frostburg State University's Honors Convocation in May.

Sweitzer, who received departmental honors in history, graduated at the top of his program in December 2016, majoring in history with a concentration in international history. As a student, he displayed an acumen for self-directed learning and challenged himself by taking on ambitious research projects. In addition to reading every historical work assigned for his programes, Sweitzer excelled at producing thoughtful and well-written historical essays. He plans to continue his study of Latin American history at the graduate level.
