FSU Student Billy Wrights Participates in Student Veterans of America's Leadership Institute
FSU doctoral student Billy J. Wrights recently participated in the Student Veterans of America's 2017 Leadership Institute held at the George Bush Presidential Center in Dallas. This highly selective program brought student veterans together for intensive on-site leadership training. Wrights was identified as one of the top 100 student veterans from across the country to attend this all-expense-paid leadership training experience.

Quintuplets Forge Individual Paths at Frostburg State University
Frederick County, Md., quintuplets are going five for five with degrees from Frostburg State University. Twenty-two-year-old quintuplets Diana, Eric, Erin, Ian and Maureen Groff will have all earned their bachelor's degrees from FSU this academic year when four join December graduate Diana as alumni following FSU's 148th Commencement on May 21.

The paper was co-authored by FSU graduate students Megan Balukoff and Jacob Wilson.

Frostburg State University senior Steven Lowery, of Ellerslie, Md., presented his research project at the 251st American Chemical Society National Meeting and Exposition held in San Diego in mid-March. His project, titled "Developing a Safer, Optimized Method for Determining Lead in Paint," presented at the Analytical Chemistry Poster Session, involved replacing hazardous assays with a microwave digestion procedure followed by analysis with atomic absorption spectroscopy.
