Frostburg Students Learn to Take a Show on the Road With "Junie B. Jones"

Just like the title character of "Junie B. Jones: The Musical," the show's cast and crew can stand out in a crowd for all the right reasons. The children's musical is part of Frostburg State University's Roundabout Theatre and CES Arts for the Schools, which travelled to area schools to stage the play during the fall semester.

The Frostburg State University Department of Theatre and Dance will present Donald Margulies' hilarious and heartwarming "Coney Island Christmas," a holiday play for people of all ages and faiths on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 4 and 5, and Thursday through Saturday, Dec. 10 to 12, at 7:30 p.m. Matinees will be on Sunday, Dec. 6 and 13, at 2 p.m. All performances will be held in the Drama Theatre of the Performing Arts Center.

FSU Students Chosen Winner and Alternate at MTNA Competition

Frostburg State University senior Cheranjana Thuyacontha was chosen as the winner of the Maryland Music Teachers National Association Young Artist Competition held at Washington Adventist University in Takoma Park, Md., in early October. She will represent the state of Maryland in the Eastern Division competition at Rowan University in New Jersey in January. FSU freshman David Cook has been chosen as the alternate for the same competition.
