Just like the title character of "Junie B. Jones: The Musical," the show's cast and crew can stand out in a crowd for all the right reasons. The children's musical is part of Frostburg State University's Roundabout Theatre and CES Arts for the Schools, which travelled to area schools to stage the play during the fall semester.

The Frostburg State University Department of Theatre and Dance will present Donald Margulies' hilarious and heartwarming "Coney Island Christmas," a holiday play for people of all ages and faiths on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 4 and 5, and Thursday through Saturday, Dec. 10 to 12, at 7:30 p.m. Matinees will be on Sunday, Dec. 6 and 13, at 2 p.m. All performances will be held in the Drama Theatre of the Performing Arts Center.

Frostburg State University will present the Bassoon Studio Recital on Monday, Dec. 7, at 7:30 p.m. in the Pealer Recital Hall of the Performing Arts Center. This recital is free and open to the public.

Frostburg State University will present the Clarinet Studio Recital on Wednesday, Dec. 2, at 7:30 p.m. in the Pealer Recital Hall of the Performing Arts Center. The performance is free and open to the public.

Frostburg State University student Charlie Engleka will present his senior guitar recital, accompanied by bassist Greg Hays and drummer Brian Weyant, on Sunday, Nov. 15, at 7 p.m. in the Pealer Recital Hall in the Performing Arts Center. This recital is free and open to the public.

The Frostburg State University Department of Theatre and Dance will evoke the elegant dance halls of the 1950s as the FSU Dance Company presents its Fall Dance Concert, "Meet Me at the Dance Floor," on Friday, Nov. 13, and Saturday, Nov. 14, at 7:30 p.m. in the F. Perry Smith Studio Theatre.

Frostburg State University student Sierra Green will present her senior clarinet recital, accompanied by pianist Dr. Jay DeWire, on Sunday, Oct. 25, at 7 p.m. in the Pealer Recital Hall of FSU's Performing Arts Center. The recital is free and open to the public.

Frostburg State University student Sean Scriber will present his junior tenor recital, accompanied by pianist Dr. Jay DeWire, Saturday, Oct. 24, at 7:30 p.m. in the Pealer Recital Hall of FSU's Performing Arts Center. The recital is free and open to the public.

Frostburg State University senior Cheranjana Thuyacontha was chosen as the winner of the Maryland Music Teachers National Association Young Artist Competition held at Washington Adventist University in Takoma Park, Md., in early October. She will represent the state of Maryland in the Eastern Division competition at Rowan University in New Jersey in January. FSU freshman David Cook has been chosen as the alternate for the same competition.

Frostburg State University student Marc Anthony Williams will present his senior recital on trombone, accompanied by pianist Dr. Jay DeWire, on Friday, April 3, at 7:30 p.m. in the Pealer Recital Hall of FSU's Performing Arts Center. The recital is free and open to the public.

Frostburg State University student Robert J. Brown will present a senior vocal recital on Sunday, March 29, at 3 p.m. in the Pealer Recital Hall of FSU's Performing Arts Center. He will be accompanied by Dr. Sean Beachy on piano. The recital is free and open to the public.

Frostburg State University seniors Cassandra Chisholm, David Cunningham, Victoria Foster, Daniel Koval, Holly Ramey and Andrew Ravenscroft will have their work featured at the "Let Art Speak" senior exhibition from 2 to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6, at Frostburg State University's Stephanie Ann Roper Gallery in the Fine Arts Building.

Frostburg State University student Michelle Wright will present her junior piano recital on Sunday, Nov. 16, at 3 p.m. in the Pealer Recital Hall of FSU's Performing Arts Center. The recital is free and open to the public.

Frostburg State University student Matthew Hunter Green will present his junior percussion recital on Sunday, Nov. 16, at 7 p.m. in the Pealer Recital Hall of FSU's Performing Arts Center. Green will perform with guest artists Michael Murphy on the vibraphone and Dr. Jay DeWire on the piano. The recital is free and open to the public.

Frostburg State University student Mike Murphy will present his senior percussion recital on Saturday, Nov. 8, at 7 p.m. in the Pealer Recital Hall of the FSU Performing Arts Center. The recital is free and open to the public.

Frostburg State University's Department of Music will host its annual President's Concert featuring students, faculty and ensembles, on Sunday, Nov. 2, at 3 p.m. in the Pealer Recital Hall of the Performing Arts Center. Seven outstanding music majors were selected by audition to perform. It is free and open to the public.
