Frostburg State University's Department of Music will host its annual President's Concert featuring students, faculty and ensembles, on Sunday, Nov. 2, at 3 p.m. in the Pealer Recital Hall of the Performing Arts Center. Seven outstanding music majors were selected by audition to perform. It is free and open to the public.

Frostburg State University student Matthew Hunter Green will present his junior percussion recital on Sunday, Nov. 16, at 7 p.m. in the Pealer Recital Hall of FSU's Performing Arts Center. Green will perform with guest artists Michael Murphy on the vibraphone and Dr. Jay DeWire on the piano. The recital is free and open to the public.

Frostburg State University student Mike Murphy will present his senior percussion recital on Saturday, Nov. 8, at 7 p.m. in the Pealer Recital Hall of the FSU Performing Arts Center. The recital is free and open to the public.

Frostburg State University students Mikayla Young, a soprano, and guitarist Zack Dodge will perform a joint junior recital, accompanied by pianist Dr. James DeWire, on Sunday, Oct. 19, at 3 p.m. in the Pealer Recital Hall of the FSU Performing Arts Center. It is free and open to the public.

Michael McCampbell, who earned his master's degree in applied ecology and conservation biology from Frostburg State University this spring, won the Edmund H. Fulling Award at the joint Society of Ethnobotany 37th annual and Society for Economic Botany 55th annual international conference held in Cherokee, N.C., in May. McCampbell won the award for his presentation, "Seedling Establishment of American Chestnut, 'Castanea dentata,' in Pennsylvania."
